"Got Certified, But the Process Could’ve Been Clearer"
I applied for certification the process was more confusing than it needed to be. Some of the instructions weren’t very clear, so I had to figure a few things out on my own, which seems like something that should be straightforward. I also ended up waiting longer than expected for updates. It did work out in the end, but overall it wasn’t the smoothest experience.

"Study materials felt outdated"
I used the study materials from americanmedtech.org i was kind of confused by how outdated some of it felt?? A lot of the content was dry, not super easy to follow, and didn’t explain things in a way that made studying any easier.

I was expecting better practice questions and answers that actually helped me understand what I got wrong. Some topics were barely covered, so I ended up searching other sites anyway. For what I paid, I was disappointed...

Signing up on americanmedtech.org was straightforward, so I figured the actual testing part would be smooth too. Maybe I was already a little stressed that day, but the testing center didn’t help. The room felt too warm, and I kept getting distracted by noise coming from the hallway. The computers did work, but mine was slow loading the questions, which made me more nervous than I probably needed to be. The staff was polite, to be fair, but they didn’t seem very organized. I did pass, so maybe I shouldn’t complain too much, but the whole setup made the test feel more stressful than it had to be.

"Pretty fair, but I don’t want changes to cost me later"
Overall, it seems fair enough and I haven’t had any major issues. That said, a few of the updates felt a little uneven, and I do worry about losing out if the rules shift in a way I didn’t expect. Support did get back to me, but it took longer than I would’ve liked.

"Login Works, But It Can Be Annoying"
Logging into my account is usually fine, but every now and then it takes a few tries before it actually works. It’s not the biggest deal, but it gets annoying having to re-enter things or try again when I just want to get in and move on.

"Score reporting honestly felt off"
I went on americanmedtech.org to check my exam score, and the whole score report just left me confused. The numbers didn’t line up with what I was expecting, and I kept rereading it like, how is this okay?
For something as important as an exam result, I really needed the information to be clear and easy to trust. Instead, I couldn’t get a straightforward answer quickly, which made the whole situation way more stressful than it needed to be.

Maybe the system works fine for other people, but my experience with the score reporting was not great. I’d definitely feel like I had to double-check everything before trusting what I saw.

I was able to change my contact info without too much hassle, which was nice. The only annoying part was that it took me a little while to figure out where the right page was. Once I found it, though, the update itself was easy.

Overall I had a good experience. The resources were useful and I liked that there were some decent discounts available. The only thing is the renewal process felt a bit clunky and not as smooth as I expected, but it wasnt a huge deal.

Overall, I’m glad the remote proctoring worked and I was able to take my test from home without any major issues during the exam itself. That said, getting started was more frustrating than I expected. I had to redo the room scan and then wait around for help, which added some extra stress before the test even began. Once everything was finally set up, the actual test went smoothly, so it ended okay — just wish the check-in process had been quicker and less stressful.

I ended up using this because I needed to knock out some continuing education credits, and I was kind of hoping there would be a wider mix of courses to choose from. Maybe I expected too much, since I’d been browsing a few other sites earlier that day while drinking coffee and trying to plan out my week, but the selection here felt a little limited for what I actually needed. Some of the material was useful, and I did get through what I had to, but finding the right courses wasn’t as straightforward as I’d hoped. A few topics also felt like they hadn’t been updated in a while. It’s fine if you just need basic credits and aren’t too picky, but I was expecting more variety. Not awful, just kind of average.

"Security check made the whole exam stressful"
I’ve taken online exams before, so I expected some security steps, but this one felt way more confusing than it needed to be. I had to redo scans, wait around, and there wasn’t much clear guidance on what was wrong or what to do next. By the time the exam finally started, I was already stressed and irritated. it really took away from the whole testing experience.

I tried to renew my credential, the whole process felt way more confusing than it needed to be. The site kept sending me around in circles, and I never felt like I was getting clear guidance on what to do next. "My accommodation request got resolved, but it took a little patience"
I did get my accommodation request handled in the end, so I don’t want to make it sound like it was a total problem. The main thing was that there was a bit more back and forth than I expected. I’d send a message, then wait a while for a reply, and sometimes I wasn’t totally sure what the next step was supposed to be or whether they needed something else from me. Once everything was finally clarified, they did sort it out, which I appreciated. I just think the process would’ve been a lot smoother if the instructions were explained more clearly upfront and the responses came a little quicker.

Overall, it was easy enough to get through and I didn’t have any major issues. To be fair, most of the experience was smooth, but a few pages did feel a bit slow to load, which got a little frustrating at times

"Didn’t really seem to help me much"
I thought the certification would carry more weight with employers, but maybe that’s on me for assuming it would be more widely recognized. I applied to a few places and some of them barely even knew what AMT was, which was frustrating after spending the money and making time to finish everything. Maybe I just didn’t apply to the right jobs or didn’t explain it well enough, but for me it didn’t seem to make much of a difference. It might help other people, but in my case it felt kind of pointless.

The replies were mostly okay, I guess, but some of the instructions felt kind of unclear. I had to ask twice to really figure out what they meant, which was a bit annoying, but overall it wasn’t terrible

"Refund policy was clear"
The cancellation and refund info was easy to find, which I appreciated. Took me a little bit to figure out a few parts, but nothing too confusing. Overall it seemed fair and I didn’t run into any real issues wih it.
